Vascular Model for Coronary Heart Disease

- May 06, 2019-

Coronary heart disease refers to a narrowing of the coronary arteries. It normally happnes when cholesterol accumulates on the artery walls, creating plaques. Narrowed artery reduces blood flow to the heart. It is a major cause of illness and death.

Surgery can open or replceblokced arteries, if the blood vessel have become very narrow.

1) Coronary bypass surgery: The surgeon uses a blood vessel from another part of the body to create a graft that can bypass the blocked artery. The graft may come from the leg or an inner chest-wall artery.

2) Angioplasty and stent placement: A catheter is inserted into the narrowed part of the artery. A deflated balloon is passed through the catheter to the affected area. When the ballon is inflate, it compresses the fatty deposits against the artery walls.

Trando can provide different types of coronary vascular model for endovascular interventional procedure training and demonstration. More information, email us at info@trando-med.com.
